Tufts Alpha Fund

Tufts Financial Group’s primary objective is to train students to manage the Tufts Alpha Fund: an entirely student-run investment portfolio established in 2007, which has grown to $180,000 in Assets Under Management (AUM). When they initially join TFG, students begin in the Analyst Training Program (ATP), which introduces them to the financial services industry while also showing students how to perform base-level equity research, understand and construct financial models, and, ultimately, value and pitch companies using industry-standard methods. The ATP prepares students to eventually aid in the management of the Alpha Fund, an opportunity that distinguishes TFG from other on-campus organizations and provides undergraduate students with invaluable hands-on investment experience.
